Dr Hartnell is passionate about joint health and takes a balanced approach to care, combining surgical excellence with a strong belief in non-operative management when appropriate. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Hartnell is involved in innovative research and medical development, including: • Leading research into the use of kangaroo tendons for ACL reconstruction • Serving as a medical advisor for Australia’s only locally made joint replacement system • Founding the Australian Institute of Joint Replacement Based in Bowral, Dr Hartnell has expanded his consulting and surgical services to several locations, ensuring greater access to quality orthopaedic care for his patients.
