Credentialing Process

If you are a Specialist Practitioner or General Practitioner and would like to apply for accreditation at Southern Highlands Private Hospital & Cancer Centre, you can complete our online eCredentialing Profile.

Please email your AHPRA registration number, the speciality you are requesting (ie Orthopaedic Surgeon, Surgical Assistant etc) and contact phone number.

In support of your application process, you will require electronic versions of your Medical Indemnity Insurance, Curriculum Vitae and Working with Children check.

The CEO of Southern Highlands Private Hospital & Cancer Centre would like to meet with you and personally discuss your application before proceeding. Please contact the Executive Office on 02 48 629 407 at Southern Highlands Private Hospital & Cancer Centre, to arrange a suitable appointment.

Application Review Process

• Upon receipt of your completed online application profile and supporting documents, a review will be undertaken by the Hospital CEO and your referees will be contacted to request formal written references.

• Once all information is completed, the speciality Medical Advisory Committee Representative will then review the completed profile, documentation and references considering your requested scope of practice in line with the Ramsay Facility Rules

• At this point in time, a temporary appointment may be granted for a short period of time. Applicants will be notified in writing

• Supporting applications are then forwarded to the Medical Advisory Credentialing Committee for consideration, and referred onto the Ramsay Credentialing Committee for recommending an initial Appointment

• Applicants are notified in writing whether their appointment has been ratified by the Ramsay Credentialing Committee or declined, once the review has been fully processed

Please note: that as the credentialing process can take some time to complete, as much notice as possible is requested should you be seeking an appointment at Southern Highlands Private Hospital & Cancer Centre.
