Dr Eugene Chung is an Australian and internationally trained Orthopaedic
Surgeon, with interests in hip and knee replacements,
knee injuries including anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and
orthopaedic trauma in children and adults.
After graduating from Sydney University’s School of Medicine, Dr Chung
undertook his surgical training throughout NSW, Queensland and the
ACT. He was awarded his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College
of Surgeons (FRACS) and the Australian Orthopaedic Association
(FAOrthoA) in 2020. Dr Chung received further training in both adult
and paediatric orthopaedic trauma working as the Orthopaedic Trauma
Fellow at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. He was then selected
for the prestigious international Fellowship in Adult Lower Extremity
Reconstruction at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Canada, specializing in
complex primary and revision hip and knee replacements as well as short
stay arthroplasty.
Dr Chung uses the latest evidence and techniques in orthopaedic
surgery while maintaining a patient centered model of care in treating
his patients to ensure the best outcome, whether it is surgical or
non-operative management.
Dr Eugene Chung lives in the Southern Highlands with his family. In his
spare time, he enjoys cooking for his wife and daughters, and staying
healthy either outdoors on the bike trails or at the gym.
