Dr Getta is a Haematologist who completed Haematology and Haematopathology training at Westmead and Liverpool hospitals. His clinical and research focus is in caring for patients with myeloid malignancies.

Dr Getta graduated with class 1 honours from University of New South Wales. He completed Haematology and Haematopathology training at Westmead and Liverpool hospitals. He pursued post-graduate training in biostatistics and epidemiology at University of Sydney and obtained licensure to practice in the United States. He undertook fellowship in bone marrow transplantation and research in leukaemia at the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York. He undertook further fellowship in transplantation and cell therapy at Westmead. Dr Getta’s clinical and research focus is in caring for patients with myeloid malignancies. He has published in peer review journals and presented at international meetings. He is lead for the myeloid disorders stream at Liverpool hospital.

 

Dr Getta runs clinics monthly at Southern Highlands Private, twice weekly at Liverpool Public and weekly at Campbelltown Public hospitals. To facilitate expedient review of referrals initial consultations may be offered at Liverpool and Campbelltown hospitals.
