Dr Farzan Bahin is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who has worked in the Southern Highlands since 2016.
Dr Bahin completed his training at Westmead and Blacktown Hospitals and a fellowship in advanced therapeutic endoscopy at the renowned Westmead Hospital Endoscopy Unit.
His area of interest spans the breadth of gastroenterology and hepatology with a particular focus in colorectal cancer screening and prevention, ERCP and advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as removal of precancerous GI lesions and therapy of motility disorders.
Dr Bahin is the Head of Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Blacktown Hospital and is a senior lecturer/ academic at the University of Sydney and Western Sydney University. Dr Bahin has completed his NHMRC sponsored PhD at the University of Sydney. He is also involved in numerous research projects, has been published extensively in peer reviewed journals and served as a reviewer for several prestigious journals.
Dr Bahin is passionate about high quality consultation, comprehensive patient care and excellence in gastrointestinal endoscopy. He has a strong research and teaching background and continues to improve patient outcomes through his own research involvement.
