Credentialing Process

If you would like to apply as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO), please feel free to contact the Chief Executive Officer of Southern Highlands Private Hospital on (02) 4862 9407.

If a doctor is Accredited at another Ramsay facility and all paperwork is on order please advise the office and arrangements made to share the information.

Otherwise:

Accreditation paperwork (with current referees) should be completed and faxed to (02) 4862 9401 or emailed to harperj@ramsayhealth.com.au

Together with:

• Copy of medical registration.
• Copy of current medical indemnity insurance showing relevant speciality covered and expiry date.
• Copy of Curriculum Vitae.

Process:

• Written references will be requested from your nominal referee.
• Completed paperwork will be reviewed by the CEO of Southern Highlands Private Hospital together with the Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee.
• At this point temporary accreditation can be granted for a short period of time.
• Application is referred to the Medical Advisory Committee (held second monthly)
• Approved applications are referred to the Ramsay Board of ratification.
• A letter confirmation accreditation at Southern Highlands Private Hospital will be forwarded to the VMO, along with relevant information and quoting forms.
